The organic chemistry department has access to a broad range of analysis equipment:
-
Various spectroscopic analysis techniques (UV-Vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism spectroscopy and FTIR spectroscopy), as well as chromatographic analysis techniques (HPLC, GC) are available at the department itself.
-
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance: Bruker 400 (equipped with a sample changer) and 500 MHz NMR machines and a 400 MHz Agilent are available for analyses.
-
Extensive mass spectroscopy facilities allow us to use GC/MS, EI, CI (±, methane, ammonia), ESI, and MALDI as ionizing techniques for mass measurements. For detailed information see the mass spectrometry section.
