Welcome to the booking system of General Instrumentation

General Instrumentation (GI) is a facility of the faculty of Science of the Radboud University Nijmegen for analyses on (medium)large instruments. The facilty is open to all research and teaching departments of the faculty. External groups, like research departments of the UMCN or other RU faculties, spin-off and other companies can also apply for measurement time and assistance.
GI offers the following techniques:

  • - Electron microscopy
  • - Light microscopy
  • - Elemental analysis
  • - Various techniques/services, like ultracentrifugation, amino acid analysis, multi-wells plate reader detection, sterilization and more.

The equipment is run by four specialized staff members with a technical-scientific background: Geert-Jan Janssen,Jelle Postma, Paul van der Ven  and Sebastian Krosse. Stef Olsthoorn, the coordinator of GI, is in charge of the financial aspects.
