Statusgreen
Short name7. DMIRE2 inverted
Full nameLeica DMIRE2 widefield fluorescence microscope
Description

The Leica DMIRE2 microscope is an inverted microcope equipped for bright field and fluorescence Wide-field imaging. A Photometrics CoolSnap K4 camera is attached. The camera, the filters turret, the zDrive, the XY stage and the transmitted light can be controlled by the uManager software.

Objectives: (Type, medium, Mag, NA, WD [mm], Max FOV [mm], catalog #)

  • - HCPL fluotar Dry10x / 0.30 NA; 11.0 mm, maximum field of view 1.500 mm x 1.500 mm, 15506505
  • - HC PL apo CS 20x / 0.70 D, also for DIC; 0.59 mm, maximum field of view 750 µm x 750 µm, 15506513
  • - HCX apo Long working distance, Ultraviolet (VI) Water immersion 40x / 0.80 DIC; 3.3 mm,
  • maximum field of view 375 µm x 375 µm, 15506155
  • HCX PL apo CS 63x / 1.30 Glycerol immersion 21 C; 0.28 mm, maximum field of view 238.1 µm x 238.1 µm, 15506194
  • - HCX Pl apo 63x / 1.40-0.60 (oil immersion with diaphragm) lambda blue-GFP; 0.10 mm,
  • maximum field of view 238.1 µm x 238.1 µm, 15506192
  •

Fluorescence
Filter cube positions:

  • A for UV excitation BP340-380, DM 400, LP 425
  • N2.1 for green excitation BP 515-560, DM 580, LP 590
  • I3 for blue excitation BP 450-490, DM 510, LP 515
  • Scan for empty = transmission position
  • BP = band pass, DM = Dichroic mirror, LP = Long pass

Light source; HBO mercury lamp  (NOTICE: THE LAMPS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO COOL DOWN BEFORE NEXT USE; RAPID OFF AND ON SWITCHING WILL HARM THE LAMP THAT MAY EVEN EXPLODE!)
